Promoting Financial Wellness in the Workplace: QUBER & Red Tab Foundation

If you’ve been reading our Workplace Wellness posts recently, you already know that QUBER is a huge advocate for employers stepping in to ensure their employees have the tools they need to achieve financial security. Our users seem to agree: we recently did a survey amongst QUBER users and found that 97% of respondents would find it more attractive to work for an employer that prioritizes their financial wellness. A shining example of this pledge in practice is the work done by Red Tab Foundation. Red Tab works on behalf of Levi Strauss & Co. to provide financial wellness benefits and tools to Levi’s employees around the world. Red Tab is one of the oldest employer financial wellness organizations, founded in 1981, and works to ensure that Levi’s employees gain strong financial management skills and grow their emergency savings so they’re able to continually improve their financial health long after they stop working for Levi’s. Red Tab has recently expanded their match-based saving benefits program to include Canadian Levi’s employees, and is using QUBER’s platform to facilitate it.

We sat down with Jen Leger, co-founder of QUBER, and Jenny Calvert, Executive Director of Red Tab Foundation, to chat a bit about why employers should have a vested interest in the financial health of their employees and how offering financial wellness tools and benefits can create major benefits for an organization as a whole.
