Let’s get lucky with saving money.
When it comes to money, we often think about all the bad luck we’ve had. Our car broke down unexpectedly, we missed out on a promotion, we couldn’t afford a ticket for the Taylor Swift concert…the list goes on and on and overtime we develop a negative mindset about money and blame bad luck on our financial situation. We grow complacent and stop trying.
Successful people don’t dwell on the past, and they certainly don’t give up. Successful people are visionaries; they are positive and intentional, in all aspects of their life.
You have already taken the first step.
The national uptake of match-based emergency savings programs is less than 10%, many employees choose not to earn free cash from their sponsor organization 🤯. And without the nudge of an organization, it’s even harder to start saving money. You have chosen to take the first step towards financial success. Well done!
Be positive.
The key to money luck is having a positive mindset. Everyone can save money, it’s up to you to decide if you want to and then put a plan in place to make it happen. At QUBER, we’ve heard countless stories of people who thought they could never save money, turn things around completely. They did it, the QUBER app was simply a tool to help them make it happen.
Visualize.
With a positive mindset, now you can start to visualize the things you’d like to have money for. Write them down. If you can imagine it, you can have it. The law of attraction is simple - stop thinking of all the things you don't want and start taking action to attract the things you do want.
Take action.
Create your saving goals in the QUBER app. Name them, add a picture so you can see them, set the goal amount that aligns with the amount of money you need to pay for them. And then figure out how you are going to save for them.
Start small. Small successes will turn into big accomplishments. Save $5 a week, save your pennies from each purchase, save $1 every time you reach your fitbit goal. Keep it small so you stick to your plan.
Prioritize daily.
An average person spends 3-4 hours a day aimlessly scrolling online. Take just 5 minutes of your day to look at what you are doing with your money. Every day. Does it align with your priorities? Is there anything you can change? If so, do it. Maybe you can cut back on buying coffee, or lunches, or you have subscriptions you aren’t using.
Hustle.
What can you do to save even more money for your goals? Do you have time for a side job? Can you sell a few things you are no longer using? There are opportunities to make money all around you, take the time to find them.
